Russia is beating us to the Jurassic Park game. Remember last year we told you about the woolly mammoth that had flowing blood? Well, if you don't, you do now. That happened, and it's apparently given Russian scientists the lead to clone these Ice Ageian bastards!Though the scientists say that they must be careful and state that they are cloning the woolly mammoth for scientific purposes, not just curiosity. I say, clone it for pure curiosity! Are you kidding me??

"The data we are about to receive will give us a high chance to clone the mammoth," Radik Khayrullin, of the Russian Association of Medical Anthropologists, told the Siberian Times.

The basic idea is to create a mammoth embryo, and use an elephant (as it's the closest living relative) as a surrogate.

'It will be a different mammoth to the one living 43,000 years ago, specially taking into account that there will be interbreeding with a female elephant," Khayrullin told the Siberian Times.

While it won't be EXACTLY like the mammoths from 40+ thousand years ago, WHO CARES! It's not like any of us were around to see them when they were in their prime. Let's get started, I say!
