Saints Wearing Color Combo Not Seen In The Sean Payton Era
There's only a certain number of color combinations a team can have. In 13 years, somehow this one has never come about.
For the first time in the Sean Payton and Drew Brees era, the team will wear their white away jerseys with white pants, but NOT the Color Rush uniforms.
We've seen the all white alternate Color Rush uniforms twice this season. It's reported that we may see those uniforms at least one more time in the 2019 season.
It looks like the Saints are slowly phasing out the gold pants, which were the only other alternative to black pants (other than Color Rush) since Sean Payton took over. They've only worn them in 7 of the last 41 games.
Perhaps the white pants are there to replace them.
For those looking at the win/loss records for each color of pants, whether it be curiosity or pure superstition, the Saints are at a 76-50 record (.603) in black pants since 2006, and 54-37 win-loss record (.593) in gold pants since 2006.
What do you think of the new color combo the Saints will wear vs the Jaguars?
