Four professional football players connected with the New Orleans Saints have been suspended for their involvement in the 'Bounytgate' scandal. The suspensions were handed down today from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Current Saints players receiving suspensions include Johnathan Vilma, who is suspended without pay for the entire 2012 NFL season. Also involved is Will Smith, who will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2012 NFL season.

Former Saints players involved include Scott Fujita, who is currently with the Cleveland Browns. He received a suspension without pay of the first three games of the 2012 NFL season for his participation in the pay-for-performance scheme. Anthony Hargrove, who is now playing with the Green Bay Packers, has been suspended without pay for the first eight games of the 2012 NFL season.
