There's been rumors of a sequel to the 1997 movie Spawn, starring Black Dynamite hisself, Michael Jai White. Nothing has come of said sequel, so we gotta start looking at a reboot. Spawn creator Todd Macfarlane has some input on the subject of Jamie Foxx taking over the mantra of Hell spawn Al Simmons, which makes it pretty credible.  Here's what Todd Macfarlane had to say, from Movie Judge:

“I continue to write a page here and there. As I’ve said before, I’ve got a guy waiting on the sidelines who’s an Academy Award-winning actor who phones every three weeks going ‘Todd, where’s the script? Where’s the script?’… He came out to the office, he gave me his pitch, I gave him my pitch, and he’s like ‘Fine, let’s do your gig.’ The pitch I gave him was that we could then do, like, ten of these for the next ten years, and he wouldn’t have to be 22 for the rest of his life."

I get that the first Spawn movie had a shotty script, and some mediocre effects (remember The Violator demon at the end?), so maybe it's time that we see a Spawn reboot. Your thoughts?
