Rotten Tomatoes Suspends Comment Section After Users Threaten Critics For Negative Review Of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

I'm pretty hardcore about this new Batman movie, but not enough that internet threats are gonna get thrown around for a negative review of a movie I haven't even seen yet! But apparently some people are a little more hardcore than me about 'The Dark Knight Rises'. At least some users on Rotten Tomatoes are as the website has suspended it's comment section for the first time in it's history! Check out what the sites editor in chief had to say.

Atchity said that the movie review site is now looking at different commenting systems to help curb hateful comments.

“There are a lot of options on the table… We may do away with comments completely or get to a place where comments are only activated after a movie opens. Sometimes, you get interesting comments on a small movie, but on a movie like this with a passionate fan base behind it, things get out of hand…. I don’t want to be a place that contributes to that kind of bile.”
