Robert Downey Jr. is on top of the world right now. His latest film, Marvel's The Avengers, is the number one film in the world right now. It has broken numerous box office records in it's opening weekend and continues to impress. If you haven't seen it, it's not too bad at all!

DC Comics' answer to that this summer is the highly anticipated final chapter of director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently, Downey Jr. doesn't like the 2008 critically acclaimed film The Dark Knight and has some rather harsh words to say about the film and DC Comics.

“My whole thing is that that I saw ‘The Dark Knight’ … It’s like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I’m like, ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.’

“I didn’t understand [it]. Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I’m like, ‘I get it. This is so high brow and so f–king smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.’

“You know what? F-ck DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”

It's looks like he won't be buying an advance ticket to see the final chapter of The Dark Knight trilogy in IMAX. He's what you call...a 'modern Marvel'?
