Would you take an 8,000 mile road trip between Europe and America?

A state railway director in Russia says that he wants to see a "mega road" and rail system that would connect Europe and America. It would travel through Siberia, across the Bering Strait, to Alaska.

Here's the deal, though. The town that it would connect to in Alaska is so isolated, it's not even connected to other Alaskan cities by road. The closest city is Fairbanks, Alaska. If you go from there to Louisiana, or vice versa, you can add another 4,000 miles to your trip.

Would you take a more than 12,000 mile road trip to get to from Louisiana to Europe?
