Road Closures Involving I-10 Overpass Roads Happening Saturday Through Wednesday

A couple of overpasses on Interstate 10 will be involved in a couple of road closures over the next few days as part of the widening of I-10.

• LA 328 (Rees Street) in both directions under the I-10 overpass (about 6 miles east of LA 347) will be closed Thursday, April 12, from 12 AM to 6 AM. DOTD crews will be performing bridge deck pouring. Detour for Northbound traffic: I-10 eastbound to LA 347 then I-10 westbound to LA 328 north. Detour for Southbound traffic: I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue then I-10 eastbound to LA 328 south.
• LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) at the I-10 overpass will be closed from 8 PM Tuesday, April 10 to 6 AM Wednesday, April 11. DOTD crews will be placing new steel girders for the new bridge section of the I-10 overpass. Detour for Northbound traffic: LA 347 traffic will be detoured to I-10 eastbound to Butte La Rose then back to I-10 westbound to LA 347 north. Detour for Southbound traffic: LA 347 traffic will be detoured to I-10 westbound to LA 328 (Rees Street) then back to I-10 eastbound to LA 347 south.
