Queen Eyeing Ben Whishaw To Play Freddie Mercury In Biopic

After Sacha Baron Cohen unfortunately dropped out of the Freddie Mercury biopic, Queen went on the hunt for another actor to play the iconic front man. It seems they have their sights on Skyfall's Ben Whishaw. Keep reading to find out more about Whishaw, and what Queen had to say. 

Queen drummer Roger Taylor said in an interview, from The Wrap:

“We’re hoping for a guy with B.W. initials,” Queen drummer Roger Taylor said on Friday while appearing on BBC’s “The One Show.”

“Is it Ben Whishaw?” one of the hosts asked later in the program.

“Well, we hope so,” Taylor said.

 

Ben Whishaw is probably best known for his showing as Q in the latest James Bond adventure, Skyfall. He was also in Cloud Atlas.
