Lafayette Police have arrested the suspect wanted for the June 22 armed robbery of the Piccadilly restaurant on Arnould Boulevard.

Police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton reported 50-year-old James Dansdill, of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Employees told police a white male entered the restaurant and loitered in the lobby for several minutes before he produced a handgun and demanded money from several employees. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing. No employees were injured in the robbery.

Dansdill was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
