Phase 2 Of Abbeville Skate Park Beginning Soon

Phase 2 of the Abbeville skate park, being funded in part by the Rotary Club, is to to begin in late February or early March.

Francis Plaisance, Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Abbeville tells KATC -

Everybody seems to love the park and like I said they're coming from the surrounding areas to use the park. You can pass just about any day of the week and there is at least three or four kids out here skating, especially after school

(The park is) Something positive for the youth of Abbeville. (We're) Trying to give them something nice and productive to be able to do with their time and it's just fun to see something out here being utilized by the youth
