Paul McCartney's son, James, wants to unite with the sons of the other Beatles to form a new (super?) group. Along with James, he wants to get Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison, and Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr) to join the project and possibly call it 'The Beatles - The Next Generation.' He claims all but one would be interested in doing it...

According to Yahoo! James talked to the BBC recently and mentioned that he's had talks with the sons of The Beatles and all but Zak Starkey entertained the idea. Starkey has had quite the career already, replacing Keith Moon in The Who as a touring drummer for close to ten years, and stints in Oasis.

"I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do," said McCartney, referring to Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey, a highly successful drummer. "Maybe Jason would want to do it," he added, throwing the name of a lesser-known Starr offspring into the mix. "I'd be up for it. Sean (Lennon) seemed to be into it, Dhani (Harrison) seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it."
While acknowledging that the idea didn't seem to have much traction at the moment, he said it could still happen with "the will of God (and) nature's support… So yeah, maybe."

Here's pics of the other guys.

Do you think this would be a cool idea? What are some other bands that you'd like to see sons of unite to form their own band?
