Over 190 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Church Point Traffic Stop

A simple traffic stop in Church Point led to a major drug bust, which included over 190 pounds of marijuana.

43-year-old Frederick Neal from Houston was arrested when Church Point officers pulled him over and noticed large plastic wrapped bales in the back seat. Narcotics agents with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office were called on the scene and identified over 190 pounds of marijuana in the back seat.

Neal was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of oxycodone. The marijuana has a estimated street value of $231.000.00. Neal's bond was set at $140,000.
