We've seen it before locally. Patron is out on the dance floor, collapses and gets saved by a bystander who has medical training.

Well, it happened again over the weekend.

Acadiana's own Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band were playing at Rock 'n' Bowl in New Orleans when 74-year-old Deacon Piero Caserta collapsed on the dance floor.

A regular at the venue's Zydeco night, Caserta's heart stopped and he went into cardiac arrest. Luckily for him, a quick-thinking nurse was in the crowd. She grabbed the defibrillator that the club had recently installed, shocked him and got a pulse back.

First responders would soon take him to a local hospital where he would undergo a procedure. But the great news is that he is doing well and is expected to make a recovery.

Amen and amen!

Below is the story that ran recently on ABC World News.
