Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue/Sixx A.M.  has a GREAT new book called "This Is Gonna Hurt..." In Addition to being a  literary tell all, the book is also a peek into Sixx's new hobbie of photography. The pictures explore Sixx's view of alternative beauty. There are also pics of wheelchairs, medical equiptment, things of that nature. It was when he looked back at all the photos that it hit him - Nikki was trying to bring back his dead sister.

Here's the deal. It was after he shot and chose the pics for his book that he learned of a sister he never knew he had. His sister Lisa was born blind and almost entirely deaf, and suffering Down’s syndrome. She spent most of her life in institutions.

Sixx tells Express.com “I only realised while I was finishing the book. I was in my photo studio and I looked round at the props – and it felt like everything was in slow motion. I looked at the wheelchair, the little children’s polio leg frames, the 1800s medical stuff, the child mannequins. And I said, ‘Oh my God, this is all about her."

Nikki's book is well on it's way to selling around 30,000 in it's first week of release. Pick it up in book stores now, or, log into your Insiders account and buy one with your Insider points!
