Chances are you have a bag of flour in your pantry or stashed somewhere in your kitchen. If you that flour is Gold Medal Unbleached All-Purpose Flour and you bought it in a five-pound bag, you could have a recalled product in your kitchen.

General Mills announced the nationwide recall of that particular brand of flour in that particular size yesterday. The reason for the recall is the suspicion that some of the flour could have been contaminated with E. coli 026. Presence of E.coli was discovered during a random sampling of the five-pound product. So far, there have been no consumer complaints related to the flour that has been reported.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the flour in question is very specific to the five-pound bag unit that features the following information on the packaging.

Consumers are urged to check their pantry for flour that matches the above description. Should you find that you have some of the tainted flour in your possession you are encouraged to discard the product immediately.
