Motley Crue have landed their first top 10 album in over ten years with the soundtrack to The Dirt, the band's biopic released on Netflix last month. The movie, based on the group's 2001 book of the same name, features four new recordings from the act's classic lineup, including a Madonna cover.

This week, the fresh tunes combined with the soundtrack's classic cuts served to propel the release to No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart (see the listing here). In good company, The Dirt's chart entry placed it just under the soundtrack to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, which sits at No. 9 for the week of April 6.

The last time Motley Crue shot an album to the top 10 was with their most recent studio effort, Saints of Los Angeles, Billboard reported. That release debuted and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart dated July 4, 2008.

All tallied, the movie soundtrack is Motley Crue's ninth top 10 album overall. Reaching all the way back, their very first top 10 on the chart was Theatre of Pain, the group's third album that hit the No. 6 slot back in 1985.

Good news for the Crue, whose albums sales have dramatically jumped since the March 22 release of The Dirt.
