Louisiana's Cajun Navy sprung into action yesterday to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. The Cajun Navy has some pretty good experience with these sort of events, and fortunately for one Houston woman they showed up at just the right time to save her life as she was floating lifeless in the flood waters.

Nola.com reports Joshua Lincoln of Madisonville, Ricky Berrigan of Lacombe and Donnie Davenport of Pearl River pulled a lifeless, elderly woman from the Houston floodwaters. That woman is 73-year-old Wilma Ellis, and she is alive today because of the Cajun Navy.

From Nola.com -

"The lady must have been crossing in some current. She floated right to the boat. We jumped out and got her and gave her compressions right there in the water. We were holding her from behind."

Joshua Lincoln says the situation in Houston is way worse than anything he saw on T.V. before heading there to help.
