If we can ever get these darn hurricanes to stop interrupting our weekends Louisiana could get back to winning big money every weekend playing the lottery. Oh, wait, we are getting winners every weekend anyway, nevermind. The latest big money winner comes from the Friday, October 16th drawing in the multi-state Mega Millions game.

According to the Louisiana Lottery website, no single ticket matched all the numbers necessary to claim the game's top prize. That jackpot will continue to grow to an estimated $86 million dollars when they play the game Tuesday night.

However, a ticket sold in Crowley can lay claim to $10,000. Which would probably come in handy considering how hard hit Crowley and Acadia Parish have been hit in the recent hurricanes. The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls and it also matched the Mega Ball.

The numbers drawn this past Friday were:

27 32 50 52 57 MB 12 Megaplier x5

Louisiana Lottery officials say the $10,000 winner was sold at Korky's Food Mart which is located at 1122 N. Western Avenue. If you bought a Mega Millions ticket at that location for this past Saturday's drawing, you might want to double-check those numbers. If you've got the winner, you'll need to contact the Louisiana Lottery to make arrangements to claim your prize.

As always, we caution you to sign the back of your lottery tickets to prevent them from being stolen or claimed by someone else. Also, if you can't afford to lose a few bucks then you can't afford to play. Please play responsibly.
