If you were counting on a big Mega Millions lottery win this weekend to earn a few more days off from work next week then you're out of luck. No tickets sold for the January 15th drawing matched all the required numbers to claim the $750 million jackpot. So, that jackpot will now grow. By next Tuesday's drawing, it's estimated the jackpot total will be close to $850 million.

Now about those two tickets sold in Louisiana that have a pretty nice cash prize attached to them. One of those tickets was sold in Lake Charles. The other ticket was sold in Prairieville. The cash prizes associated with those tickets are $10,000 and $40,000 respectively.

According to the Mega Millions website, these were the numbers that were drawn for Friday, January 15, 2021.

03   11   12   38   43  MB 15 Megaplier x4

Both the Lake Charles sold ticket and the Prairieville sold ticket matched four of the five white-balls and the Mega Ball. The purchaser of the ticket sold in Prairieville opted for the Megaplier option, hence their prize is $40,000 compared to $10,000.

Based on information from the Louisiana Lottery website the Lake Charles ticket was purchased at the Shop Rite store located on Country Club Road. Meanwhile, the Prairieville ticket was purchased at a Racetrac Store on Airline Highway.

If you still haven't satisfied your lottery fever the Powerball game for January 16th will feature a jackpot of $650 million or so. Good luck with that if you choose to play and please, don't spend what you can't afford to lose.
