Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and MMA figher Conor McGregor has finally set a date for their mega fight.

Mayweather Jr., who "retired" nearly two years ago, will box former UFC champion Conor McGregor on August 26th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC President Dana White appeared on ESPN's SportsCenter, noting that the long rumored fight is now a reality.

"Negotiations went smooth," said White. "Floyd is surrounded by some smart people, and we got this thing done. The impossible deal is now done."

Moments after the fight was announced, McGregor took to social media, sharing a picture of himself and Floyd Mayweather Sr., not Jr.

The novelty of the fight, coupled with the large personalities of the competitors will fuel many PPV buys, giving both Mayweather Jr. and McGregor a large payday for the bout.
