Just recently, we discovered that Mastodon's Brent Hinds and The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus had hung out and went and got Lemmy Kilmister tattoos together. Now comes word that the pair will appear together in a new AMC series called Ride.

Hinds revealed the news with a photo via his Instagram account, stating that he'll appear on the grand finale episode of the first season. Ride With Norman Reedus is scheduled to premiere on AMC in June.

The actor has a history with the network, starring on the hugely popular series The Walking Dead. "We love being the home of people's passion projects, and there is nobody more passionate about motorcycles than Norman Reedus," stated AMC president of original programming and development Joel Stillerman to Entertainment Weekly.

The six-episode series will find Reedus and fellow motorcycle enthusiasts exploring the country, showcasing different types of motorcycles and taking detours to custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector's warehouses and a roadside smokehouse along the way. The revelation of a trip to the tattoo parlor likely explains why Hinds and Reedus were spotted together getting their tats. You can check out a trailer for the series above.

In addition to motorcycle riding and hanging out with Reedus, Hinds is spending plenty of time onstage. The Mastodon musician will join his bandmates for a May 5 date in Philadelphia, then kick off a month's worth of dates in August. See all of the band's shows here.
