The Super Bowl is one of the biggest spectacles in sport, if not THE biggest. There's so much going on, a lot of people are attracted by things other than the game itself.

Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on commercials that will air on Super Bowl Sunday. The 30 minute halftime show runs twice the length of a regular season halftime.

The announcements of the talent are a big deal. Pepsi has spent millions of dollars on sponsorship of the TV announcement in recent years.

Variety reports, Maroon 5 will perform at halftime of Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, February 3rd, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

It remains to be seen who else will perform. In an effort to reach the broadest possible audience, organizers sometimes pair up acts that make an odd mix. Coldplay & Beyonce comes to mind.
