Marilyn Manson Joined By Doors Members At Sunset Strip Music Festival [Video]
The Doors were the big honorees at the Sunset Strip Music Festival this year, which opened a few doors for them when it came to performing over the weekend. One advantage they took was the opportunity to join Marilyn Manson onstage during Saturday’s (Aug 18) outdoor bash.
Manson had turned up earlier in the week to watch the Doors tribute performances at the House of Blues, and was more than happy to have Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger join him for performances of ‘People Are Strange,’ ‘Love Me Two Times,’ and ‘Five to One.’
NME reports that in addition to the surprise guest spot from the Doors, fans were treated to a wealth of Manson favorites. The singer performed such classics as ‘Disposable Teens,’ ‘Personal Jesus,’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),’ ‘Antichrist Superstar,’ and the set closing, ‘The Beautiful People.’ The vocalist also got a solid response for his recent single, ‘No Reflection.’
Manson will head out on tour this fall as part of the Twins of Evil tour with Rob Zombie.
