Friday night's concert by Taylor Swift was highly anticipated and heavily attended. A young man, 20-year-old Jacob Lewis was struck and hit in traffic by a suspected drunk driver.

According to what Jacob's dad, Steve Lewis, told KHOU, Jacob and his sister drove home from the concert when their car started having issues. Jacob got out to start pushing the car when he was struck and killed by 34-year-old Alan Bryant. The man fled the scene.

Steve Lewis told the television station,

You know, to make it worse, the driver (Bryant) got out, helped my daughter get my son out from under his car, saw what had happened, got in his car, and left.

Lewis says as the entire scene unfolded a tow truck driver in the area witnessed everything and was able to confirm the details to the police.

Lewis says his daughter was also injured, but she is expected to make it.

Steve says they have set up a Go Fund Me Account to help pay for the cost of the funeral.

Officials say that Bryant is in the Harris County Jail. He has so far only been charged with failure to stop and render aid. Authorities say it's likely that other charges will be filed against Bryant.

Now all that's left is memories for Steve and his family. He says he learned that the Katy, Texas Independent School District has already announced they are setting up a musical theatre scholarship in honor of Jacob.

The young man was a lover of musical theatre. His dad adds he also loved video games. Steve Lewis says his son had also qualified three times for the Pokemon world championship.
