Man Arrested For 9/11 Graffiti, Salvador Perez, Released On Bail This Morning From Funds Raised Through Facebook
Salvador Perez, the man arrested for attaching cardboard images of two planes crashing into the 9/11 memorial downtown as well as a cardboard cut out of George Bush holding a wad of money and a remote control unit, bonded out of jail this morning. The bail money, $1,300, was raised through the "Spring Sal" Facebook page.
Salvador Perez faces fines up to $1,000 and could face as much as 2 years in jail. Since Perez's arrest and incarceration, there has been an outcry by some in the community, and on social media saying that Perez is being treated as a political prisoner.
