Louisiana Ranks As One Of Least Safe States In The Nation
Once again we're where we don't want to be on this kind of list.
According to WalletHub and their findings, Louisiana is toward the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to safety.
But just how did they figure this all out?
In order to determine the safest states in America, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 52 key safety indicators grouped into five different categories. Our data set ranges from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to total loss amounts from climate disasters per capita.
Louisana ranked 50th in financial safety, 36th in road safety, 36th in workplace safety, 49th in emergency preparedness, and 43rd in personal and residential safety. Along with that, our great state ranked 48th for the most fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles of travel, 46th for most assaults per capita and tied for 47th for the highest unemployment rate.
What states would you want to go to to be the safest? If you don't want to risk it, head out to Minnesota, Vermont, Maine and Utah, as they came in as the safest states in the nation.
