Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Unleashes Digital Release of ‘The Raid: Redemption’ Soundtrack
The soundtrack for the action movie ‘The Raid: Redemption,’ scored by Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda, is now available as a digital release.
Shinoda worked on the soundtrack alongside Joe Trapanese, who has collaborated with acts such as Daft Punk and M83. One of the highlights of the CD is the song ‘Razors.Out,’ featuring Shinoda and the Deftones‘ Chino Moreno. The digital download of the soundtrack was released this week, with a limited edition physical release set for April 13.
Shinoda is also hosting an exclusive screening of “The Raid: Redemption” for Linkin Park fan club members in Los Angeles tonight (March 21) at 7:30PM PT. He’ll do a Q&A after the screening. It is Shinoda’s first foray into film scoring, and he is happy with the result. “The intense visuals and compelling story of ‘The Raid: Redemption’ have made this an exciting first venture into scoring for me,” according to Shinoda. “I’m thrilled for Linkin Park fans to see – and hear – this film.”
‘The Raid: Redemption’ will open in limited release on March 23, with a wider release the following weekend. It has received positive reviews from the Sundance, Toronto and SXSW film festivals. Gareth Evans directed the Indonesian martial arts action flick.
