LDH: June 9th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Tuesday, June 9th.
There are now 43,612 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 562 more reported cases since yesterday.
LDH: 155 of the new cases reported are from a backlog that came in overnight. Most of these cases have specimen collection dates between 5/2-5/8 and 75 have unknown parishes.
Numbers show that there are 568 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 14 fewer than yesterday.
67 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 4 fewer patients since yesterday
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,844, an increase of 13 since yesterday.
As of today, 33,904 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,176 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 2,805 with 209 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 908 cases, 30 deaths
