The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, June 22nd.

There are now 50,239 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 461 more reported cases since yesterday.

LDH says they have implemented a new process for improved de-duplication and parish assignment of data received from labs around the state.

Numbers show that there are 630 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 41 more than yesterday.

77 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 8 more patients since yesterday.

The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 3,004, an increase of 11 since yesterday.

As of today, 39,792 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,775 more recovered patients since last week.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 4,036 with 231 deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 1,440 cases, 33 deaths
