Lake Martin Is Closed

Rookery Rd., the road that surrounds Lake Martin, as well as the lake itself are closed effective immediately.

To those looking to enjoy the beauty, and solace of Lake Martin this weekend, there's some bad news for you.

According to KATC via the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, Rookery Rd. will be closed to all vehicular traffic, while Lake Martin will be closed to all boat, recreational vehicles, and water activities until further notice.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says: "We appreciate your patience and understanding as the recovery process continues from the recent flood event."
