
Lafayette Sheriff’s Patrol Division Makes Major Drug Bust
The Patrol Division of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office was able to get around $10,000 worth of drugs of the streets after a traffic stop last night.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Spokesman John Mowell says that deputies pulled over a Honda Accord last night around 8:30 on Verot School Road.
While investigating, deputies found 527.9 grams of high grade Marijuana along with 504 MDMA tablets valued at around $15,000.
Deputies also confiscated drug paraphernalia and around $1,200.
The man arrested for having the drugs is 29-year-old Jonathan Lightfoot of New Iberia.
He was arrested for possession with intent to distribute controlled substances along with several other charges.
