Lafayette Plane Crash Survivor Released From Hospital
Great news.
Our media partners at KATC-TV 3 is reporting the sole survivor in a Lafayette plane crash has been released from a Lafayette hospital.
Wade Berzas was in the burn unit at Lourdes Hospital for 52 days.
Upon arrival at the hospital, it was determined that Wade had burns covering 75 percent of his body, along with a dislocated shoulder and lacerations to his head.
Today, Wade walked out of the hospital with family and friends. His recovery really surprised medical professionals. According to KATC, Wade exceeded the expectations of his doctors.
Let me add this in, knowing him personally, I AM NOT one bit surprised by his speedy recovery. Wade is one of the strongest individuals I have ever met and his determination to return to his family is indescribable.
Wade Berzas was the only passenger who survived a plane crash that happened on December 28 in Lafayette as a small plane was departing to Atlanta.
