Lafayette Man Dead In Motorcycle Crash

It happened late last night on LA Highway 93 at LA Highway 98.  It was there that state troopers say 29-year-old Ronald Bellard of Lafayette was driving his motorcycle north on Highway 93.  Police say that he failed to negotiate a roundabout and hit a curb, throwing him from the bike.

Bellard was taken from the scene to a nearby hospital and police were notified that he later succumbed to his injuries.

Toxicology samples were obtained and will be examined by the state police crime lab as the investigation continues.
