Lafayette High Mighty Lions Marching Band Earns Top Honors

Lafayette High has earned quite a reputation of having one of the best marching bands in the state. Well, news flash...they're one of the best in the country! Lafayette High School’s Mighty Lion Marching band earned top honors in their class in Saturday’s Bands of America Grand National Showcase in Indianapolis Indiana. In addition to earning top honors in their class, the band placed 11th nationally out of all bands in the competition. Lafayette High was also honored for Outstanding Musical Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance and Outstanding General Effect for their show Southern Dawn. Congrats to you Lafayette High for being such a great ambassadors for all of Acadiana!
