For what it's worth, it seems like Kwon Alexander's time in New Orleans is up.

The former LSU standout joined the Saints last season after being traded by the San Francisco 49ers, appearing in seven games for New Orleans before a season-ending Achilles injury.

While there has been no official word from the New Orleans Saints, Kwon seemingly went the J.J. Watt route and reported the news himself via a farewell post on Instagram.

Soon, reporters began to share the news via Twitter.

When it comes to what it means for the cap, Mike Tannenbaum reports that the combined savings between veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and linebacker Kwon Alexander would be nearly $19 million.

We will update this story when we receive official word of Alexander's release from the Saints.
