KATC Reporter Has Very Cajun PSA For People Riding Around To Look At Hurricane Damage
Travis Guillory did not come here to play with y'all.
The former KATC reporter is currently employed at a Tulsa, OK station also owned by TV-3's parent company, but has been in town assisting with storm coverage. While Guillory may be in another market, he's still a self-proclaimed "Cajun boy" at heart and during a live broadcast from Rayne, he spoke directly to Cajun Country with his warning for people to stay off of the roads as crews work to clean up after Hurricane Delta.
While we do want to go help out "T-Boy" and "Mee-Maw" he is totally right about letting the professionals handle things until it is safe for us to be out and about again.
For those who are cleaning up damages on your own property, remember to be safe and that it isn't always possible to see dangerous things like downed power lines or debris that may be covered up. It is not abnormal to see just as much damage done AFTER a hurricane passes due to people not taking caution in the wake of a storm like Delta.
Be safe and just call "mee-maw." She's still gonna love you no matter what.
