Three Texas Towns Now On Wealthiest In The USA List
Texas is the headquarters for more Fortune 500 companies than any other state in America, in fact there are 55 of them in the Lone Star State. Even with all that money and the sheer dominance of the current Texas economy, it still would be understandable if none of the twenty wealthiest cities in the country are not in Texas.
Why would Texas be left off the list of wealthiest cities?
Something Texas has a lot more of than even billionaires, is space, so it is fascinating to see this kind of wealth clustered together. Texas has plenty of space for just about every resident besides Elon Musk, who is quite literally obsessed with getting into outer space.
What three Texas towns are among the top 20 wealthiest in the USA?
Highland Park
Highland Park is the 7th wealthiest city in America, a suburb of Dallas, and home to National Register of Historic Places Highland Park Villages shopping center. Also, the TV show Dallas was filmed here, and showcased the towns opulence regularly.
West University Place
West University Place is a Houston suburb and borders just to the west, obviously, the home of Rice University's University Place.
University Park
University Park is a suburb of Dallas and the home to Southern Methodist University. It also borders Highland Park, and is home to President George W. Bush Library.
If you didn't notice, there was a theme to these three towns. They each had a well endowed university, and either featured the words Park or University in their name.
Spent a lot of time in parks, guess I should have gone to a university too. Read more in this Veranda article.
