Our sources at the Texas Lottery have confirmed that Wednesday's Powerball drawing has produced what can be described as a "life-changing" win in last night's game. Texas Lottery players have really been exercising their luck here lately with big wins not only in the multi-state Powerball lottery game. But, Texas tickets have also earned major prizes in Mega Millions and the Texas Lottery's Lotto Texas with Extra!

On Wednesday night the focus of the lottery world was on Powerball. The game had an estimated annuitized jackpot of $115.5 million when the ping pong balls began bubbling up out of the hopper. Here is what that drawing looked like as it happened.

The numbers we noted from the Wednesday, July 24, 2024 drawing were:

16   42   59   63   68   Powerball 13   Power Play x2

Use those numbers for reference and please verify your ticket(s) at the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those sites have the official numbers and will allow you to check the numbers of multiple tickets at the same time. The site also has instructions for claiming your winnings should you have a prize coming back to you.

Our source at Powerball says no tickets sold for Wednesday's game matched all the numbers needed to claim the $115.5 million. There was a Match 5 Million winner sold in Georgia. That ticket also had the Power Play option included so their payout will be two million dollars.

The second largest prize in Wednesday's Powerball was a life-changing win on a Texas-sold ticket. The Texas Lottery confirms a ticket sold for last night matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball. By rule that ticket is worth $50,000. Since the ticket's purchaser opted for the Power Play their winnings will be doubled to $100,000.

The Texas Lottery also noted there was a $50,000 winner sold in Texas for last night as well. That ticket featured the same winner scenario as the $100,000 winner but they didn't pay for the Power Play option.  There were no "big-money" winners in Lotto Texas with Extra! Four tickets sold for that game earned a prize of $4,105.

The Mega Millions game will give Texas Lottery players their next chance at financial freedom. That will happen on Friday night with a top prize of $306 million (estimated) for the jackpot. The next Powerball drawing will be on Saturday night. The jackpot is expected to climb to $131 million for that drawing.

Please remember to play all lottery games responsibly. Most tickets are not winners so you should be prepared to not win. Spend only what you can afford to lose and if you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER. The call and the referrals are free. Good Luck.
