Powerball Winner – Texas Lottery Confirms Huge Payday Monday

San Antonio, Texas has gotten one this year. So has Gainesville, Texas. And Monday night at 9:59 from Abilene to Zapata Texas Lottery players who play Powerball were transfixed to their screens and ready to join the list of Texas Powerball Jackpot Winners.

Since Powerball, a multi-state lottery game, has been available in Texas there have been two confirmed jackpot wins. By a "jackpot win" we mean the Texas ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Powerball too.

This means Wednesday's Powerball drawing will be worth an estimated $275 million for those who might choose the annuitized jackpot. The lump sum payout will jump to an estimated $137.8 million.

The Texas Lottery has confirmed the following details from Monday's drawing. Three tickets sold in Texas earned a prize of $50,000 and one ticket earned a prize of $100,000. In each prize-winning scenario, the tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. The $100,000 winner opted for the Power Play which is why their prize money was doubled.
