Police Car Submerges in Louisiana Bayou Following High-Speed Chase
A police chase ended dramatically after a Louisiana Police officer crashed into a body of water.
WGNO reported that Kenner police officers responded late Tuesday night around 10:45 p.m.to a shoplifting call from the 800 block of West Esplanade Ave. Police say two women shoplifted from the business and left the scene in a gold four door honda SUV.
Kenner police reported seeing the vehicle on the eastbound ramp on interstate 10 headed toward New Orleans and began their pursit.
However, the chase ended abruptly when the police officer chasing the suspects lost control of the car and crashed into Bayou St. John near the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and Moss Street.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the suspects did get away.
