Lafayette, LA - A major vehicle crash has shut down traffic in all directions at the intersection of East Willow Street and Dogwood Drive. Lafayette Police Department officers responded to the scene in the 1300 block of East Willow Street at approximately 7:40 PM.

UPDATE:

The Lafayette Police Department has identified the victim of last night’s fatal crash on East Willow Street as 30-year-old Nicholas Barron of Lafayette. The collision involved a motorcycle and an SUV, with preliminary investigations indicating the SUV attempted a left turn, colliding with the motorcycle. The case remains under investigation by the Lafayette Police Department Traffic Unit.

The roadway is now reopened.
