
Lafayette Police Looking For Vehicle Involved in Hit-and-Run
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - The Lafayette Police Department needs your help identifying a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash.
According to a social media post by Crime Stoppers, "On March 27, 2025, at approximately 11:56 pm, patrol officers responded to a report of a major hit and run crash involving a bicyclist at the 200 block of E. Pine Street."
The vehicle that hit the person on the bike was described as an older model silver Buick 4-door vehicle, which you see here.
The bicyclist sustained moderate injuries in the crash, and the vehicle that hit the person on the bike fled the scene. Upon fleeing, it was determined that the vehicle involved in the crash had a switched license plate on it.
Police ask that if you can identify this vehicle or the person driving it to call them at 337-232-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. You can also submit tips on this case to the authorities by using the P3 Tips mobile app.
A cash reward is available to the person who can lead police to the party responsible for this crash.
