The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) Narcotics Unit made a massive drug bust on Wednesday, seizing more than $1 million in illegal narcotics as part of an ongoing investigation.

LPSO Narcotics Agents, with support from the LPSO SWAT Team, executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Verot School Road in Lafayette. The operation led to the discovery and seizure of 14 pounds of methamphetamine, along with a handgun.

According to Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Valerie Ponseti, the investigation resulted in the arrest of two suspects: Jada Bentivolio, 23, and Christian Archangel, 23.

Both individuals were taken into custody and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. They face charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substances (Methamphetamine). Additionally, Archangel was charged with Transactions Involving Proceeds from Controlled Dangerous Substances Activity.
