Houseboat Being Transported Falls on Basin Bridge in Louisiana

Traffic on I-10 in South Louisiana came to a screeching halt Sunday night after a small houseboat blocked one lane on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

Several photos on social media Sunday night showed the houseboat just sitting on the bridge between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. The boat fell while being transported, and we just hope that the owner of the houseboat noticed it before he reached its destination.

Motorists reported some minor delays, but it was not long before the houseboat was retrieved and traffic continued on its way.

Anytime I see photos like this it reminds me to always keep my eyes on the road because you never really know what or who you may come across, especially while traveling at night.
