The CDC has reported increased sexually transmitted diseases in the United States. according to USN, there have been more than 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea reported in 2021, the most recent year for which data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was reported.
Per 100,000 people in the US, there are over 760 cases on average. Syphilis alone had seen a 30% increase between 2020 and 2021. In addition, there were 3,000 cases of the disease which is a more than 750% increase over an 8-year period.
