BEWARE: Louisiana Warned About Harmful Chemicals Found In 28 Recalled Beverages

When reaching for a drink to cool off this summer, avoid the beverages listed below. In 2024 the FDA recalled 28 beverages so far this year. The drinks on the list were recalled for a few different reasons, varying from containing harmful chemicals or bacteria to containing drugs that were not listed on the label.

In May, we reported that Martinelli's Apple Juice was being recalled for containing harmful amounts of arsenic that could increase the risk of certain cancers.

According to the New York Post, an herbal tea for pain relief did not disclose it contained an anti-inflammatory medication. It appears that these are only two of the 20 plus beverages that have been recalled so far this year.

Among the 28 is also a baby formula and a popular bottled water sold everywhere, Fiiji Water, was also recalled when three different types of bacteria and the mineral manganese was found in the beverage.

The NYP also reported that four drinks made by Charles Boggini Company and their Cola flavoring base were recalled due to food dyes containing benzidine not being disclosed which are carcinogenic.
