Stretch of Verot School Re-Surfacing Starting Today, Expect Delays
Lafayette Consolidated Government wants to remind drivers that a mile-long stretch of Verot School Road in Lafayette will be getting resurfaced beginning today (Thursday, June 22).
The section of Verot School Road getting a new overlay will run between Highway 90 and Bolton Street (near Pinhook Road).
The roadway will remain open, however, drivers can expect alternating lane closures. It will be down to one lane using a pilot vehicle.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible.
A source close to the project said anticipate work to be conducted from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Thursday and Friday. If work is not completed by then, they will continue on Saturday.
However, LCG said the entire project could take up to a week to finish, weather permitting.
