Coke Releasing State Themed Cans for America’s 250th Birthday
(KMDL-FM) Oh, what a party there is going to be in July of 2026. Yes, I'm talking about Taylor Swift's wedding, and then the day after that, the rest of the country will celebrate with an even bigger party in celebration of America's 250th Birthday.

And it's just not a party without a "Coke and Smile", no wait, that's the advertising campaign from the Bicentennial years. Actually, a Coke and Smile was the big catch phrase when the iconic television commercial first aired.
If you remember that commercial, then you probably remember the Bicentennial and the seasons when the Dallas Cowboys didn't suck so bad. And you're probably wondering what corporate America is dreaming up for our nation's next big birthday.
Coca-Cola Creating Collectible State Cans for America's 250th Birthday
The folks at Coke, who are pretty darn good at keeping us refreshed, have come up with what I think is a really unique idea to honor America. Much like the brand did with their "Share a Coke with a Friend" campaign, where people's first names were emblazoned on the iconic cans. The brand will now honor each of the 50 states.

Each of the cans will feature the two-letter abbreviation for the state and an iconic image that is often connected with that state. For example, the Alabama-themed can features a football helmet. The Kentucky-themed can features a racehorse. The Florida-themed can features a sunset, while the Georgia-themed can features the image of a peach.
What Image is on the Louisiana 250th Birthday Coke Can?
Coca-Cola fans in Louisiana will be proud to know that the iconic emblem Coke has chosen for the state of Louisiana-themed can is the fleur de lis.
That's probably the most iconic image they could have picked for us. I guess a crawfish might have been good, or maybe the image of an elected official behind bars.
The America250 packaging will be available on mini-cans of the popular soft drink beginning this month.
