The Soda Pop Shop, which was located at 700 Westgate Road in Scott, Louisiana, has announced that it is permanently closed.

For example, there was a drink called the Lunch Lady, which included Mountain Dew, coconut cream, raspberry puree, and mango flavor.
The possibilities were nearly limitless.
How long was Soda Pop Shop around?
With the news of its closure, the Soda Pop Shop's run in Scott was just over a year. The location opened up in July 2023.
What went wrong?
While that is always the million-dollar question when a business closes, perhaps location had something to do with it.
We saw someone on the Facebook group Closed in Acadiana comment, "Always thought it was a weird concept for that spot. Maybe if it was near the UL campus or the Horse Farm Park."
What was there before Soda Pop Shop?
Before it was the Soda Pop Shop, the first Louisiana location of Farm Stores was there.
Farm Stores is a combination of grocery store, bakery and restaurant, all in a convenient drive-thru format.
We aren't sure exactly how long Farm Stores lasted but we know it opened in the summer of 2019.
